A Deatsville man died in a Saturday morning crash

ELMORE COUNTY, Alabama (WSFA) – A Deatsville resident was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Elmore County.

Matthew Lock, 31, died after the car he was driving left the road, drove through a ditch and rolled over. Authorities say he was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened just after 2 a.m. Saturday about five miles north of Wetumpka on Alabama 111, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Police officers from the ALEA Road Patrol Department are investigating the accident.
